Join AARP Because Life Does Not End At 50
Have you ever heard about AARP? AARP stands for American Association of Retired People that was established by a school principal in the year 1958. The concept of AARP was derived from an association that had been working for retired teachers at that time. Earlier, the association dealt with the health insurance of the retired people but as the time passed, other fields also got covered under the different programs of American Association of Retired People.
The association is primarily concerned with the baby boomers. Those children that were born in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and Australia between the periods of 1940's to 1960's are considered as baby boomer. During that time, there was a rapid decrease in the birth rate of children and those who were able to survive this time were termed as baby boomer. As we all know, that was the post second world war period, so, the symptoms of malnutrition among these children were high. The association understood the demand of the time and provides extra privilege to these people after their retirement from work.
Retired Baby boomers get special facilities under the programs by AARP, like they get free entry to programs organized by AARP. These different programs include the music and dance programs, seminars, national events and many others. Some honorary jobs are also provided to the retired baby boomer after the initial training. AARP has an incorporated financial trust that looks after all the financial endorsements of the association.
American Association of Retired People has played a major role in providing special facilities to baby boomer from the government. Concessions, privileges and free education that has become the right of every baby boomer under the constitution of United States; this has been possible only because of the hard work of the AARP. The American Association of Retired People also has a deep concern with the charity. Old people who are in immense need of money can apply to the association. Poor old people can get the placements if they want to rejoin the work. Their salary is made free from the tax formalities and other such things. The staff of AARP works for educating the old people both legally and academically so that they can become more aware of their rights and social security. The popularity of AARP can be detected from the fact that AARP had to launch its magazine recently because of the strong demand from the retired people. The readership of American Association Retired People's magazine is more than that of any other magazine that is published in the United States. This has only become possible because the motto of AARP is, "life starts after 50's, this is the golden age when you have no liabilities and responsibility of your family. So live up your dreams and enjoy this stage."
