Have you ever heard about AARP? AARP stands for American Association of Retired People that was established by a school principal in the year 1958. The concept of AARP was derived from an association that had been working for retired teachers at that time. Earlier, the association dealt with the health insurance of the retired people but as the time passed, other fields also got covered under the different programs of American Association of Retired People.

The association is primarily concerned with the baby boomers. Those children that were born in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and Australia between the periods of 1940's to 1960's are considered as baby boomer. Concessions, privileges and free education that has become the right of every baby boomer under the constitution of United States; this has been possible only because of the hard work of the AARP.

Poor old people can get the placements if they want to rejoin the work. Their salary is made free from the tax formalities and other such things. The staff of AARP works for educating the old people both legally and academically so that they can become more aware of their rights and social security.
